Pick-Up of Student Property

Good afternoon, Mundare families!

On March 15, the Government of Alberta announced new measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. Since then, all classes from kindergarten to Grade 12 have been cancelled until further notice. It is important that all families retrieve student belongings from our school at your scheduled time on Wednesday, March 18.

In order to minimize the risk of infection, we are only permitting small groups, at scheduled intervals, to retrieve belongings. Locker contents and desk items have been bagged, in advance, and placed in the school gym for quick pick up. Entry will be through the Mundare School gym entrance at your assigned time.  There will be no more than 10 individuals in the gym at any time so please follow the assigned time.

Only students who attend Mundare School may enter with their parent/guardian. Do not bring any additional family or friends. Your child may come with your emergency contact, if you are not available.

People who are sick will not be permitted to enter the school. This includes zero tolerance for any sign of illness, no matter how mild the symptoms. These are not limited to just the recognized symptoms of COVID-19—these include a runny nose, coughing and sneezing, congestion, signs of a high temperature or complaints of achiness and fatigue. Students or guardians exhibiting symptoms will not be permitted to enter the building.  

If you have any library books to return, a bin will be provided for returns in the school gym. If you have any classroom books to return, you can do this in the same place.

If you aren’t able to come, please notify the school of this.  Please note that other individuals cannot retrieve your child’s property.

 Other important reminders:

Student progress report cards are issued on the parent portal on Friday March 20 at 3:30PM.  This has not changed. Please ensure that you can log in to the portal and review the report card.

Interviews. Please use the interview platform to let the teacher know that you would like to speak with them regarding the progress of your child. The teacher can call you at that assigned time, or they can call you during the day at an appropriate/ convenient time. While we regret that we won’t be able to meet with families in person to have these conversations, we believe this is the best approach.
