REACH Program
Our Mundare REACH (Resources in Early Childhood) classroom offers full day programming for students with multiple special education needs from ages 2.5 to 6 years. Students are placed in either the Monday/Wednesday class or the Tuesday/Thursday class and benefit from small group instruction. There is a special education teacher and two educational assistants in the REACH classroom. Students also have access to consultants for specialized services including a Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. Through assessment, observation and parent input, student needs and strengths are identified and an IPP (Individualized Program Plan) is developed for each student. The IPP includes specific goals and strategies that will address the student's needs.
